Background: English born, Richard Holbrook is a recent graduate of a digital media design having graduated from Lancaster university in late 2009. His early interest in design took inspiration from early graphic designers such as Saul Bass and Lissitzky and more recent designers such as Adobe and Yahoo Web designer Hilman Curtis and film producers such as Tim Burton. Richard first developed an interest in web design from a young age, through friends that had there own web design businesses. Richard quickly realised that design had to incorporate 3 main themes in the 21st Century. Design should be kept; fresh, clean and simple. The internet has been a revolution in the way we live our lives. Richard realised the importance of minimisation in order to cater for a broader target audience.

He realised that by keeping things simple, he would attract a much larger cliental base. During university Richard picked up many different skills, in which he hopes to take further into industry, he believes that his skills will set him in a good stead to further a career within Graphic Design, Web Design and SEO optimization.

Currently work as a graphic design consultant for a local business and I offer one to one tuition for people wanting to develop their web design or graphic skills. Have also worked with many photographers on learning the different aspects of photo editing within photoshop. As well as run my own successful Graphic Design company, and supervisor work for a local computer shop, where my roles have been Design, Marketing, and supervisor roles.
